the video on my machine is not working. I am getting sound but no visual

error on page bottom left hand corner .

I can now post new topics. but I was unable to in the chat section.

I double checked and everything seems to be working fine in that section. It's possible that the page did not load in correctly for you the time you attempted to post. If you now are still unable to start a new topic in the chat section please reply here for further assistance.

RE: sound but no video
This sounds suspiciously like a flash player problem. The flash player is required in order to view the videos correctly. Please make sure you have the latest flash player installed. I'd advise you to restart your machine after you install it. It's a very small download and a very useful program to have not only for this site but also in general.

If you are using a dial-up internet connection please note that the videos we currently have up there are still not ideal for the low connection speed. We scaled the video down but I dont think we went far enough so at the moment the videos will load very slow on your machine (if you are on dialup). We're currently doing up a better version for people on slow/dial-up connections. The new, faster version of the videos will be up in two weeks.

RE: Other errors
This site is just new and, as with all new sites, it does have a few minor problems (especially in compatibility with web browsers). Its possible that some of the issues you report may be connected to this. We're working on getting the site and site videos working as best we can in as short a time as possible. At the moment we are going through the site looking for errors just like what you report. In two weeks the site will have a major update which will address several things: error fixes, slow performance on dial-up connections and browser compatibility issues. If installing the flash player does not solve your problems then I advise you to check back on july 1st after we have updated the site.
